The exhibition USOMANO II/IV is dedicated to the kitchen and to the concept of “save the food”, based on rules and knowledge on how to store food. The project ‘Save Food from the Fridge‘, by Jihyun David studio, is a research on the preservation of the food without the use of the refrigerator, which calls for reducing the waste of food by combining ancient knowledge of peasant culture and objects for the home. Jihyun David studio is constituted by Jihyun Ryou (Korea) and David Artuffo (Italy), and focuses on the exploration of traditions and technologies of different cultures to be applied to sustainable design.
